Welcome to Jane's web page. Jane is a native of North Dakota, born and raised near the Souris River town of Velva. She continues to live on the farm on the Dakota plains that are rich with the legend and heritage of those that lived and hunted in the area before us. Each of her porcelain dolls is handcrafted from the pouring into the molds, cleaning the green porcelain, firing and painting, to the hand-stitched clothing and hand-made accessories. Her love of culture has been the inspiration for the dolls she makes in her home shop. Jane hopes that her dolls will promote a better understanding and appreciation for the wonderful American culture that is a legacy for us all. Some themes for her dolls include Prairie Women, Native American, Cowgirl, and Lewis & Clark series including Sacagawea.
